Too many Interlude servers eventually look the same: Dark Crystal everywhere, Draconic everywhere, and entire armor families reduced to temporary stepping stones. When one answer works for almost every situation, gearing stops being a strategic part of the game.

Our A- and S-grade armor rework is built to change that. Every major set now supports a recognizable playstyle, giving players real reasons to choose differently according to their class, party, opponents and preferred combat rhythm.

The goal is not to make every set identical or equally strong in every situation. It is to replace the one-set meta with genuine choices between mobility, magical resilience, attack tempo, casting power, control resistance, sustain and complete endgame versatility. Any bonus not listed below remains unchanged from its existing Interlude profile.

Robe sets: four different approaches to magic

Dark Crystal — casting speed and mobility

Dark Crystal remains unchanged. Its exceptional Casting Speed, movement and established defensive utility continue to make it a strong and reliable A-grade choice.

Nightmare — magical power and resilience

M. Atk. increases from +8% to +16%, with +15% Casting Spd., +7 Speed and +4.5% M. Def.. This power comes with a -5% P. Def. trade-off. Its existing MP regeneration, Sleep/Hold resistance, INT and WIT effects remain unchanged.

Majestic — fast, protected casting

Majestic gains +15.5% M. Atk., retains +15% Casting Spd., and receives +7 Speed and +14% P. Def.. Existing Max MP, MP regeneration, Shock resistance, MEN and INT effects remain unchanged.

Major Arcana & Apella — complete S-grade profile

Major Arcana now grants +25% M. Atk., +5.5% Casting Spd., +10% P. Def., +6% M. Def., +7% Max HP and +15% Max CP. Speed remains +7 and all other retail effects remain unchanged. Apella Robe uses exactly the same combat statistics.

Light Armor: a set for every combat rhythm

Tallum Leather — mobile dagger specialist

Tallum emphasizes movement, evasion and precision dagger play with +5.2% P. Def., +4 Evasion, +3 Speed and +3% dagger blow damage. MEN increases from +2 to +3, while the set carries a modest -1.2% Atk. Spd. modifier. The blow bonus applies only to genuine blow-type skills while a dagger is equipped.

Nightmare Leather — resilience and sustain

Nightmare becomes the defensive sustain option for close-range fighters: M. Def. rises from +4% to +7.4%, it gains +2% P. Atk., and melee HP absorption increases from 3% to 5%. Its trade-offs are -4.9% P. Def. and -2.7% Atk. Spd..

Dark Crystal Leather — speed and accuracy

Dark Crystal is the dedicated high-tempo offensive set. Atk. Spd. rises from +4% to +7.2% and the set gains +3 Accuracy, balanced by a change from +4% P. Atk. to a -2.8% P. Atk. modifier. STR +1, CON -1 and Paralysis resistance remain unchanged.

Majestic Leather — archer PvP stability

Majestic Leather remains unchanged. Its bow P. Atk., DEX, physical protection and Stun resistance already provide the stable A-grade PvP identity intended for archers.

Draconic & Apella Light — complete S-grade progression

Draconic now provides +6% P. Atk., +6% Atk. Spd., +4.2% M. Def. and +4 Accuracy, while retaining its CON -2 trade-off. Max MP, weight limit and base-stat effects remain unchanged. Apella Light receives exactly the same combat statistics.

Heavy Armor: focused identity improvements

Nightmare Heavy — magical resilience

Nightmare Heavy gains +4% M. Def., reinforcing its role as the anti-magic Heavy Armor option. P. Atk., CON, DEX, Sleep/Hold resistance and melee damage reflection remain unchanged.

Dark Crystal Heavy — responsive shield play

Dark Crystal Heavy gains +3% Atk. Spd., bringing a slightly more responsive rhythm to its technical, shield-oriented playstyle. Healing received, Shield Def., CON, STR and Paralysis resistance remain unchanged.

Armor skins preserve their combat identity

Apella is a visual alternative to the corresponding S-grade sets and retains their combat statistics. The Clan Oath Robe is available as an A-grade appearance for Dark Crystal Robe, with matching pieces, statistics and set bonuses. These options change appearance—not the path to power.

From a default answer to a real build choice

The result is not a new mandatory set replacing the old one. Dark Crystal and Draconic remain strong, but they now compete with credible alternatives that offer different advantages and meaningful trade-offs. The right choice depends on your role, party composition, opponents and preferred combat rhythm.

That is the heart of the rework: more visual variety across the world, more room for experimentation, and more value placed on preparation and player knowledge instead of simply copying the same equipment profile as everyone else.
